Microsoft-Novell union poetry in motion
Through an additional $100 million investment in Novell's brand
of Linux, Microsoft's total investment in Novell has reached
$340 million. The Redmond, Wash.-based software giant says its
customers can redeem the certificates for expanded support from
Novell that includes SUSE Linux Enterprise Server support and
support for moving toward an enterprise-class Linux platform.

launches new Latitude notebook line
Claiming battery life of
up to 19 hours on a single charge for the E6400 laptop, Dell
unveiled its new line of colourful Latitude notebooks and
Precision workstations, saying the laptops are completely green,
use the least amount of power and have the smallest impact on
the environment.
