Computer Installations Plus offers a 3 year Limited Warranty on all New desktop computers that we sell.  This 3 year warranty is included in the sale price of each machine and covers all major parts of the system including CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Power Supply Video and Sound cards (if applicable).

This Limited Warranty does not cover: consumable products (ink or paper for printers, CDs, DVDs Floppy disks and other media unless a manufacturer warranty exists) It does not cover software, or software problems - due to the functioning nature of computers we cannot warranty installed software, abuse of electrical power, computers serviced by anyone other than a Computer Installations Plus technician, hardware with outstanding payments or malfunction by 3rd party software or periferals.

For computers covered by the Limited Warranty it will be Computer Installations Plus' objective to restore the computer to its factory default condition - meaning functioning hardware, if the client that declined the extended warranty would like the Computer Installations Plus technician to attempt to retrieve, restore or transfer data this will be done so on a fee basis, as only the parts and the actual time to replace parts will be covered by the Limited Warranty.

 

Computer Installations Plus Extended Warranty covers all that the Limited Warranty details and more.  In addition to parts and the labour to replace those parts the Computer Installations Plus technician will assess the situation of your computer and do all things possible to preserve and/or transfer your data as the case dictates up to 4 hours per case.  Service calls can be made Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Should a single case take longer than 4 hours to resolve (not including time to replace parts) the remaining time will be billed to the client at 50% of Computer Installations Plus' current hourly rate.

Should your computer require reloading or repair of your operating system the time spent waiting for the system to reload or repair is included in the 4 hours or service time.

For a Computer Installations Plus technician to reload or repair your operating system or any program on your computer you MUST have in your possession the media sold or provided to you at time of purchase (CD or DVD) and the license(s) for each machine you wish to be serviced (where applicable).  A Computer Installations Plus technician will NOT install or repair illegal software with or without a warranty.

Computer Installations Plus and it's technicians will not be responsible for lost or corrupted data.  Under the Extended Warranty it will always be our objective to do our best to backup your data before the repair process, however we do not guarantee the recovery of data in any way.
